DAYS – Has Nicole blown it with Daniel?

I just finished watching all the soaps from Friday, January 2nd and I am going to try and pop out my blogs before the night is over.  So Nicole actually was honest with Daniel and it made him believe that she still has strong feelings for Eric. 
As I said in my last post, Nicole is an investigative reporter.  Yes, she is curious about this woman and yes she will always care about Eric but I think she smells a story or something fishy and when she smells something fishy, she investigates.  I am not sure she can get Daniel to understand that as it does seem like she still has feelings for Eric or that she hasn’t let him go.  What gets me is that up until yesterday, none of us were sure he had let Jennifer go. 
I was scared that on Christmas Eve they were going to start in again and they really are a yawn fest.
Nicole and Daniel’s off screen romance makes their onscreen romance sizzle since there is real passion, caring and feelings there.  It looks like the writers are going to make us wait a bit longer but they better not cancel that story-line.
