It looks like a lot of fans think that Rick is continuing to con Caroline and he is doing a very good job of it today. That would be incorrect because the B & B actually reran the Christmas episode from last year.
Rick was being sincere in this episode as he and his wife were newlyweds and very much in love at the time.
